We understand the produce business.

History

Frusol International Inc. was founded in September 1987. Operations began in 1989 as "Profresh International Inc."
Initially, Profresh began purchasing dehydrated products from Chile. Some of the products handled were: Raisins, Plums, Tomato and Apple rings.   After consolidating itself in the market, it began importing fresh apples, pears, onions, asparagus and cherries.

—Three years later, Profresh, began sourcing products from other countries to broaden the variety and quality of imports to Canada introducing Spanish Clementines in North America for the first time in the early 90’s. Working with Nulexport in Spain, Profresh opened the market for the Darling label, and continues to enjoy exclusivity in Canada. —At this point, the company began specializing in the sourcing and marketing of citrus products.

In 1997, the name of the company "Profresh International Inc." was changed to Frusol International Inc. to avoid similarity with another Canadian corporation.

After a few successful years, Frusol decided to open the Clementine market to Chilean growers. Working with Safex in Chile, Frusol developed a project to introduce new varieties of Clementine's making them more alike those of Spain's. —Since then, Frusol has continued as a leader in the Clementine market while also expanding into other citrus varieties as well as various products in-line with Canadian market conditions.

Frusol International Inc. is an active member of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association
